I am Aaron, the developer of CyrusLyrics and the father of Cyrus. From before his birth, I enjoyed singing to him, and as he reached approximately 2 to 4 months old, he began to respond more actively to these interactions. However, I frequently found myself unable to recall a diverse selection of songs to sing, and even when I remembered songs, I often struggled to recall all the lyrics.

This challenge prompted me to consider: "I probably know over a hundred songs and most of their lyrics—why can't I remember them all?" This question inspired the creation of CyrusLyrics. The application was developed initially for my personal use, providing a convenient way to store and retrieve lyrics for songs I enjoyed singing to my son.

I prioritized simplicity in adding new song lyrics, opting to use a Google Sheet as the storage backend for ease of updating. The app was designed to facilitate quick addition and removal of songs, requiring only the artist and song name to fetch lyrics automatically. Additionally, I integrated Spotify playback functionality, allowing me to listen to the tracks either when I needed a refresher on singing style or simply as background music while singing.

Furthermore, I aimed to extend the app's utility beyond my personal use by enabling others to create their own Google Sheets through the app itself.
